Adults and account responsibilities
The Haven is intended exclusively for people age 18 and older. Proposed account requirements include a verified email address controlled by the account holder, one email address per account, and responsibility for protecting account access.
Email confirmation and the final verification process still require implementation review. Never share passwords or invitation codes.
Your identities and creative work
A registered identity may be used for roleplay, casual conversation, or both. Proposed creator principle: members retain rights in their original work; posting does not transfer ownership to Haven or another member.
The permission needed for Haven to host, display, back up, and moderate contributions, collaborative authorship, and rights-request procedures must be settled before adoption.
Location ownership and World rules
Proposed direction: members retain ownership and control of their Locations whether standalone or affiliated with a World. Location owners may set compatible rules. Haven-wide rules take precedence over World rules, which take precedence over Location rules.
World affiliation does not transfer ownership or grant authority to manage the World. Petition requirements, departure or transfer, default placement, and World enforcement powers remain under review.
Memberships, cancellation, and refunds
Traveler and Wayfinder features and allowances are being reviewed separately from prices. A proposed feature is not a currently available paid entitlement.
Prices, renewal and cancellation procedures, refund eligibility, payment provider details, and safe handling of content after downgrade remain undecided. These terms must be published before memberships can be purchased.
Account changes and deleted names
Proposed features include Character renaming without recreating the Character and a recovery period before deleted names become available again. A 24-hour period is under consideration.
Identity, history, permissions, and blocks must remain protected. Reacquiring a name must not provide access to its previous owner’s records. These features and timing are not confirmed available.
Enforcement and review
Proposed principle: access may be restricted for rule violations, with proportionate action and an appropriate review process. Members should respect consent, privacy, blocks, and applicable content boundaries.
Notice procedures, appeals, service changes, the responsible operator, applicable legal terms, and the effective date require administrator and legal review.
