The Haven Accord

A shared covenant of respect, freedom, and belonging.

Draft 0.2 · For administrator review · Not yet adopted as official Haven policy.

A community for adults

The Multiverse Haven is an adults-only (18+) community for roleplay, creative work, casual conversation, and connection. These principles apply throughout the Haven, including community boards and conversations outside roleplay.

Haven, World, and Location rules

Location owners may set their own compatible rules and retain ownership when affiliated with a World. Haven-wide rules take precedence over World rules, which take precedence over Location rules. Local rules cannot permit conduct prohibited by the rules above them. Exact affiliation and enforcement procedures remain under review.

Space for conversation and belonging

You are welcome to come for a chat, share your interests, meet people, or enjoy the community without participating in roleplay. Respect each space’s purpose and posted expectations. Give others room to join in, and avoid flooding conversations or repeatedly posting unwanted promotions.

Creative freedom, personal dignity

Adults should have meaningful creative freedom within Haven policy and applicable law. The people behind creations deserve dignity, consent, privacy, and safety. Disagreement about a story, an interest, or an opinion does not justify personal attacks, threats, or harassment.

Choose your participation

Members should be able to choose the conversations, people, themes, and stories they participate in. Being an adult does not mean consenting to adult themes, sexual conversation, or personal attention. Respect a refusal or request to stop. Blocking must be respected; do not use another account or ask others to continue unwanted contact.

Keep character conflict within the story

Conflict between fictional characters must not become hostility toward the people writing them. Harassment cannot be excused as roleplay or a joke. Keep mature or explicit discussions within spaces whose posted expectations allow them, and do not introduce those themes into casual conversations without the agreement of the people involved.

Respect creators and private spaces

Original creators and their work should be respected. Do not pressure members to reveal their real identity or share another person’s identifying information, private messages, or private creative material without permission. Private and restricted spaces should remain private, with exceptions for legitimate safety, moderation, and legal reporting.

Resolve concerns without a public pile-on

Step away from a conversation when needed. Bring conduct or safety concerns to Haven Moderation or Administration through the designated support process. Do not organize harassment, retaliate against someone for raising a concern in good faith, or post sensitive reports and evidence publicly.

Fair moderation

Reports should be made in good faith. Moderation should be proportionate, and significant actions should have an appropriate avenue for review. Administrators and moderators are also bound by standards.

All three administrators must review the complete policy before adoption. Content boundaries, creator rights, appeals, and legal-policy alignment remain subject to that review.
